This beautifully restored 18th century stone farmhouse is set on a mountainside in 120 hectares of private forest.  The property was lovingly restored by its current owners and now operates as a stylish and elegant bed and breakfast.

The property's location makes it unique, and the views from the house are breathtaking. To the east, the glorious rolling countryside down to the sea and to the west, the spectacular snow capped Pyrenees. From the house you can see an extensive stretch of the Costa Brava coastline, making it a truly unique location.

The estate comprises a main house, a guesthouse, and 120 hectares of land - including several flat fields (ideal for horses), a natural water deposit, and a lawn garden with fruit trees, Mediterrenean plants and a newly constructed 10m x 5m traditionally hand tiled salt water swimming pool. 

The 120 hectares of land is comprised predominantly of cork trees, holm oak and olive trees. There is also a separate ruin on the estate which, subject to obtaining all the necessary planning permits, could be reconstructed.

The main masia has 6 double bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. Four of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. All the rooms are spacious, retaining original features including exposed wooden beams or fireplaces. The property also has two living rooms, a large dining room, kitchen and entrance hall. In front of the property, enjoying the fabulous views, is an outdoor dining area, and to one side of the property is a purpose built chill-out area.

The guesthouse is constructed over two levels and comprises a large family kitchen, a living room, two double bedrooms (one with large terrace) and a family bathroom.

The masia is a solar powered house and water comes freshly drawn from a private well. A gas generator provides back up power when required.

The property is situated in the Gavarres natural park in the province of Girona. The Baix Emporda has been compared to Tuscany or Provence and the Gavarres forest has been officially declared an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The property is accessed by a well maintained dirt track and is a 10-minute drive to the medieval village of Cruilles, and 15 minutes to the historic market town of La Bisbal.

The beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava are 30 minutes from the house.
